Good News Stories
From Deacon Laura Evans in the East Solent & Downs circuit:
'As many people may know MHA is a cause dear to my heart as I worked for them for about six years, prior to training as a Methodist Minister. Since becoming involved in working alongside the three Portsmouth Churches I've been made aware of the fantastic work done by Fratton Live at Home Scheme, which provides activities, support, care and (possibly most importantly) company for the older people it serves. Those who run the scheme are always seeking to do more, and a little extra funding would enable them to expand what they do and hopefully reach more people in need.
So on Sunday 21st May at 2.30am I and a number of others are climbing all 530 steps up the Spinnaker Tower as a fundraising activity.
If you feel able to sponsor me then please do so. The easiest way to do so is at my justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stairclimbchallenge
